Protect and Restore Purhepechan Lands

We are creating this fundraiser to help protect the land and forests within Purhepechan territory in Michoacán, Mexico while also aiding volunteer firefighters and locals who are battling and dealing with recent fires within the Pátzcuaro region. Amidst battling fires and environmental damage due to them aid for forest protection, creation of a greenhouse for plant production, and reforestation are needed to truly help revitalize and care for the land of the Indigenous Purhepechan people. The goal is to one day buy back the land and have it be managed by the Indigenous Purhepechan themselves to truly ensure it thrives. Funds will be used for direct help to stop or prevent fires, tools, food and essentials for those who need aid, and direct support to volunteer firefighters and better equipment for them.
