Protect Alberta's Rockies and Headwaters

We are a FB group called Protect Alberta's Rockies and Headwaters. We are doing our best to make our government accountable to the tens of thousands of Albertans who are opposed to open-pit coal mining, or mining of any type, on the Eastern Slopes of the Rocky Mountains.

However, our government isn't listening. We need to raise funds to continue our fight. 
- Approximately 10K for an Aquatic Toxicology Water Study through the University of Lethbridge in order to have accurate data to support our plea to both the provincial and federal governments.  This project is urgent as we need to get samples taken before the snow melts and the mining begins. 
- Approximately $5500 to do at least one direct mail campaign in strategic areas requiring accurate and non-partisan information about the effects of mining on the Eastern Slopes. 
- Various other types of advertising and mail campaigns, and any other projects that will further our fight.  We need to get the word out to people who ARE NOT on Facebook.

We had hoped it wouldn't come to this, but it has.  If everyone contributes $1 or $2, we will be set. We can alter our goal as we go, but we need to get started now.
