Just ahead of Fridays Stoppage. We will have 7 AMOU members rostered on that day in VTS and Marine Op's, that will be standing down for 4hrs.

These members will be docked wages for this time. As for Dayworkers/ Office members, I'm not sure if your individual work hours for the week will be affected on Friday afternoon? Please reach out to a delegate if you think you will be docked pay.

What I'm proposing is to pass the hat around on a voluntary basis to collect funds for these individuals for taking one for the team.

I have spoken to the Marine Ops members, and they are not fussed about the loss of wages for day as they are happy to send a message with this Protected Action to PA.

The intention of the go fund me page for the Action, is to divide the funds to those involved equally. The page will have a target amount and it will roughly reflect the loss of wages for the VTS and marine Ops staff as this is my only reference at this point of the loss of wages .

This go fund me is only designed with good intentions to show solidarity for our members that will be standing down on Friday, It is completely voluntary and up to the individual and their financial position.

There is no need to state whether you have or haven't contributed, this is a anonymous process. We have not taken action before as a collective and I'm just trying organise support for us all. I know times are tough, so there no need to feel pressure to do so if it outside of your financial situation.
