Prosthetic Riding Leg & CUH Charity

My name is Ruth Walsh , here is a quick summary of my story:

In December 2016, I lost my right leg below the knee to bone cancer. I was diagnosed with a high grade osteosarcoma at 31 years old and despite a huge effort to keep the leg, the cancer was too advanced. Following from this , we found out the cancer had spread to my lung and I underwent 9 months of chemotherapy and a lung resection in ward GBR in Cork University Hospital.

I am looking to fundraise for a specialised horse riding leg to enable me to continue with my greatest passion in life - horses ! and i would like to improve facilities for cancer patients in the GBR ward in CUH.

On the 21st of September 2018, myself and my family are running a fashion show, in Corrin Event Centre , Fermoy, Co.Cork, to raise funds for the leg and for the Cancer Ward GBR in Cork University Hospital.
Currently I only have one prosthetic leg that i use for everything and its not suitable to ride in, which means I cant do what I love as much as I would like.

We would love for people to purchase a ticket and come on the night , if not please feel free to donate something if you can.

Thanks a million
Ruth
