Toussaint Academy Fundraiser

Hey friends I hope to just take a moment of your time. 

This holiday season @prospectbar will be raising money for The Toussaint Academy of San Diego, a teenage homeless shelter. Often times when we think of homeless shelters we think of families or adults who have faced hard times and are in need of assistance to get back on their feet.  However that’s not always the case.  For those of you who are not aware there is an organization, Toussaint Academy, located here in San Diego who houses homeless youth ages 14-18.  Teens who have face abuse or other unimaginable challenges; leaving them with nowhere to turn.  The lack of family and/or support can make it extremely difficult for a minor to have much chance at a healthy future.  Toussaint Academy provides support and opportunities to help these teens with the life skills necessary to become independent contributing members of society.  By connecting youth with caring adults, Toussaint Academy emphasizes each individual’s strengths while providing them with opportunities to learn healthy behaviors.   This year we have a goal of $10,000.  I’m asking for your help in reaching our goal.  A contribution of any size is greatly appreciated; no gift is too small.  Toussaint Academy relies heavily on donations from the private sector.  Recently, Toussaint Academy has faced massive reductions due to the changes in the economy.  Thanks to friends throughout our community, the academy's doors have remained open.  However, they need help to continue to furnish the services these young people deserve so they can become self-sufficient, responsible adults.  Attached is a flyer with information on where you can donate.  You can contact Cesar CVallin at [email redacted] , Lisa Fore [email redacted]  or Mark Lim at  [email redacted]
