Black Dads Matter.

Everly, my daughter, has become the very thing that gives me strength everyday. The strength to become a better man, father, and strong example for her. Her mother and I are no longer together. During our separation, her mother was able to move in with parents(rent free), giving her the time and opportunity to be less economically impacted by things like the virus & day to day expenses. I on the other hand , a full time student and delivery driver, have not had the opportunities to make such an impact. With colleges closing Nationwide, the majority of my clientele(drunk students) has ceased to exist. I’ve recently began working at an assistant living facility along with delivering pizzas in order to offset my new found lack of income. The mother of my child,Alexis, has just recently filed for Sole custody, with an allowance of three hours on Mondays of visitation for me. Not only is this detrimental to me, but my daughter as well, if not immoral. If I saw her every day, which isn’t allowed, I’d spend a total of 18.5 days A YEAR with the love of my life which is absolutely Ludacris.  I have spoken with a legal representative who presumed that my baby mother is “banking on me not getting any effective representation.” She advised me that her services would come in handy, but at a steep price of $2K. I’m trying to break the stereotype of being an absent African American father. I provide my child with necessities & more importantly love-filled quality time. If I am not able to combat this case, I fear that I may become disassociated as a father, for 18days is simply not enough time in the year to establish and build a connection. Nor is it worth the monetary repercussions, enacted by the court.

I have always been a prideful and  stubborn man, but my child comes before my pride. I hate to ask for funds, the very thought makes me cringe, but I’d do ANYTHING for this beautiful child. Anything you can give is appreciated. I have roughly 20 days from 6/3/2020 to reach my goal. If an response is not given by then, my daughter may miss out on all the knowledge Ihave to bestow upon her. I myself may miss out on the greatest blessing that life has to offer. That blessing is fatherhood. I thank anyone in advance willing to help. If youalso find yourself struggling and cannot provide you’re thoughts and prayers alone are enough for us. Send a link to a friend or simply promote and encourage fatherhood and proper co-parenting. If you can’t help us, we hope you’re able to help someone else. Peace and love.
