Today marks exactly 1 year since
Parker passed away in the most tragic way. My children and I were forever changed. Parker was such an incredible dad. He meant more to me and my children than I could ever express. We still can’t believe he’s gone. Our 4 children are beyond devastated. All of our hearts have been shattered. Parker, unfortunately, did not have any life insurance. We weren’t prepared for this as most people aren’t. We still have not had a proper burial for him yet. He was cremated and we do have his ashes in an urn. I am trying to raise money so we can have Parker’s ashes interned in the mausoleum at Memorial Park Cemetery. That is also where his brother Conor is. The kids and I have also thought about planting a tree or having a bench placed in the cemetery in Parker’s
honor. We just want him to have a proper burial and place where we can go. He was at the mausoleum all the time to be with Conor. It brought him peace. We are hoping for the same peace.
Someday I hope to open a charity in Parker’s name to help others in his situation. It was a lifelong battle. But his death will not be in vain. I promise to make him proud and raise our children to forever know who their dad was.
