Project Sense - Fund a Sensory Room

We are a group of young people in South Tyneside who are all on the autistic spectrum. As part of our NCS Headliners project we have the opportunity to campaign to make a difference in our own community.

The real problems we face day-to-day are both a lack of understanding about autism and a place to go to unwind. Our goal is to create a sensory room, as there is currently not one available to use in the area. It will be a safe place to go to when we need time out.

We are also creating a short film about our lives to create understanding about the condition. We are passionate about this project as we think it makes sense.
