Project S.O.C.S.

Hello everyone, and thank you so much for stopping by our page. What is Project S.O.C.S. you may ask? It stands for Save Our Cat, Socrates!

For those of you who have ever met Lauren, you know that her life is about three things: art, travel, and cats! In fact, if you really know her you know by art I mean cats, and by travel I mean cats. She's absolutely crazy about them, but there's one in particular who holds the key to her heart, and he needs our help now more than ever.

Earlier this month, Socrates was diagnosed with cancer in his right wrist, an x-ray of which appears below (check out the left side arm and you'll notice the hazy blob just before his paw). The cancer has acted fast, eating away the head of his ulna, and is in danger of doing even more damage if we don't act. Unfortunately, this means that we need to take Socrates, or Socs, to have his poor little arm amputated. This is something we never imagined happening to our favorite little furball, but we are willing to do whatever is necessary to give our dapper philosopher cat the best chance to survive.

That's where you come in! As you might imagine, a surgery such as this one, where they will remove his arm, including his shoulder blade, is almost prohibitively expensive. Key word, almost! We're asking everyone out there reading this to donate just a little, whatever you can spare for Socrates. With everyone's help, hopefully we can reach our goal, get Socs the treatment he needs, and go back to cuddling, scritching, and spoiling him (and his brother Voltaire) once again.

As a bonus, should we exceed our goal, we want to donate all excess funds to our local MSPCA branch in order to help them provide the best care and facilities possible to all our furry friends awaiting their fur-ever homes! Much love and thanks again for taking time to read our story!

Did we mention he's a party animal?
He also enjoys tickling the ivories on occasion.
How can you not want to pet that floof??
