Education and fresh water for children in Njoro

What is the problem?
Education in less developed areas, for example, a small town in Kenya called Njoro, has always been limited as there are not the required resources to educate the young. Additionally, living in Njoro is very difficult during the dry season as there barely is enough water to use for drinking. The river Njoro and the rainwater are the primary water sources for this community, however, during the dry season, there is a lack of water. It is because of these reasons that we, a group of young volunteers, have decided to help the children and community of Njoro.
Who are we and what will we do?
We are a group of young volunteers from the International School of The Hague, eager to help less fortunate children to enhance their chances in life by better education. During the spring vacation of 2020, we will travel to Njoro and build a classroom and two water tanks with a capacity of 5000 liters each, so that having fresh water during the dry season will not be a problem. We will do this with our time and strength and the help of the workers in Njoro. This trip has been done for the past 5 years and we are dedicated to continuing the work for this community. However, this is only possible if we manage to raise a total amount of at least 10 000€ for all the resources to build the classroom and water tanks. Throughout this year we have and still are managing multiple fundraising activities throughout our school environment however are trying to exceed in what we can do. Therefore, we decided to create a GoFundMe campaign so that anyone can donate a small amount and know that it is for a good cause.
How can you help?
For this project to work we need donations with which we will buy all resources to build the classroom and the water tanks. The children in Njoro have not been given the opportunity many other children have been around the world. We are certain they would appreciate any donation you would like to make. Thank you.
