Project Dignity: Building A Homeless Shelter

Project Dignity is a non-profit organizaion that has helped the community since 2013. Our goal has always been feeding and offering free medical care to our homeless neighbors in Detroit & surrounding areas. We are raising money to purchase a building to provide a homeless shelter for women and children especially those who are affected by domestic violence relationships and are without food, shelter and basic needs. Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
Project Dignity will be offering GED, Culinary art, Basic Hygiene, Computer, Esl and Real estate classes for these women and children.
The shelter serves many benefits to these women and children. The classes listed above will help these women and children with a smooth transition back into the community. It will provide them with valuable work force and life skills to be sucessfull on their own.
Update: We were in hopes of getting the land located in westland Mi . We baised the knowledge of this land from The Wayne county Land bank Website where it is currently still listed. Unfortunately it has been brought to our attation that this land has been sold. We are still working diligently to find land and or a home to open our homeless shelter. We fully intend on moving forward.
Project Dignity uses its own personal funds to fund the Sunday Feedings with the help of local businesses and volunteers. We've hosted a few events as well such as our Annual Black-Tie Charity Gala. To keep helping those we serve, we rely on our community and partners such as local restaurants, bakeries, etc. Our Goal is to raise enough funds to open a selter and hopefully a soup kitchen in the future, with the generosity of our friends and parters.
