<div><strong>Summer 2024: Youth Camps and Coaching Clinics</strong>

<div>We are gearing up for Project Basketball Africa - Summer 2024!!!  This will be a year of firsts for us, as this whole project continues to grow so quickly! We are so excited to be running TWO Youth Camps this July. This is the third summer we will run the camp in Lusaka, and every year it gets bigger! We are planning on 150 young people in camp, plus coaches and helpers. And for the first time we are expanding to the Copperbelt, in the north part of Zambia. We will run our second camp in Kitwe, and are also expecting 150 young people for our inaugural Copperbelt camp.

<div>We will also run our second Coaching Clinic in Kitwe, and our 5th Coaching Clinic in Lusaka! It has been amazing working with the coaches in Zambia over the past 3 years! We have made so many incredible friends! And next  year, plans are in process to reach out to the southern part of Zambia to run Youth Camps and Coaching Clinics there as well!

<div>When we started this project, we were called Project Basketball Zambia. But we also went to Madagascar last year, and next year we have been invited to Kenya and Ghana! So now we are Project Basketball Africa! We are looking forward to being a blessing to even more people across the amazing continent of Africa!

<div>By the end of July 2024, we need to raise $10,000 for this summer. The money will go toward:

<div><strong>Student Exchange Program</strong>
</div>
<div>We are so excited that we were able to place 3 Zambian student-athletes in schools in the USA this past year. But we have  identified 5 more student-athletes that we would like to help find schools for this coming school-year: 2 college-age guys, a college-age girl, and 2 high school age guys. This is such a life-changing opportunity for these guys and girls. I can't describe or overstate that enough! And they are some of the best, hardest working young people you will ever meet. The type of people you want to help!

<div>But we need your help to help them too! The process of getting a Student-visa and flights for these young people has averaged around $2000 per student. And often schools would love to have them, but can only offer partial scholarships. 
</div>

<div>So we are setting up a scholarship fund. Our goal for this year is to raise $10,000 in scholarship funds for this part of the project. I am so thankful to the Jones family, my parents, and others who have helped make this dream possible for the 3 students this year. I pray we can make it happen for more African students in the future!
