Allison Voth lost her father, her best friend, to a sudden death on his birthday in 2015. She was devastated and spent a long time lamenting deep in grief until one day her Aunt took her to a candle supply store and she chose some beeswax sheets to try rolling candles. She made her first Angel candle in 2017 & named her candle crafts "Honey Heart Candles". The creative process became a healing balm to her Soul and has inspired many people.
Using her creative passion, she evolved the old name into her new company HoneyHeart Co. The Angels are a symbol of her living legacy of love after loss. They honour our global family as a collective, they sweeten bereavement and make great celebration of life gifts. Hand-crafted in small batches by Queen Bee Alli herself, these are one of a kind gifts that she calls "Angels of Love."
During the pandemic summer of 2020, Allison was driving down a road she rarely takes and came across a sign that said 'memorial beehives'. Struck by this exciting synchroncity, she took a photo of it and later connected with the owners Heritage Gardens Cemetery in South Surrey B.C. Canada. It is the first certified eco-green cemetery in BC & they grow produce and have given away 500lbs of food to the food bank, plus 100lbs of honey to family and visitors! Inspired with an intention in her heart to sponsor a beehive, without knowing how she could possibly make enough Angels to support the cost, she set forth to try.
Through her hard work and support from spirit, she received a surprise donation from her dear friend Paula Meyer that enabled the first beehive sponsorship to take place in spring 2021. Project Angel is so much more than Angels, bee's and honey. It fosters our inter-connectedness & our inner garden that allows our hearts to blossom with joy again. Together we strive to honour those who walked the earth with us and leave only pure love (honey) behind as our legacy for the future generations.
We aim to grow our contribution to sustainability by raising funds to support the annual costs of maintaining a healthy hive & possibly add another hive next year. We are grateful for your contribution. A hive honour roll is published on the webpage below to honour the loved ones of angel recipients. Soon there will also be honey to support our initiative too.
