PROJECT AFRICA- FOOTBALL CONNECTS

Yes guys!   

Firstly, a massive thank you to everyone's support so far. We have been overwhelmed by the love and support we have received since the first day we set this charity up. We always say it, but this couldn't be possible without you guys. So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

To all that are new to what we do, here is a quick overview.

Project Africa consists of four trustees, Max, Andi, Leendert and Alan, all four coming together to make a difference in communities across Africa by supplying the ones in need with grass football pitches. Max, Andi and L all spent time in Ghana, where they saw what football meant to so many people in the community, but how a lack of safe playing surfaces was not only stunting the growth of their talent but putting the children at risk of serious injuries. It was here that they realised they could make a difference. Project Africa was set up with the dream of building as many grass football pitches across Africa as possible, all for communities and people who need it. Communities that play on gravel or for local charities who try to teach children life skills through football but can only do so on concrete, putting the children at risk of serious injuries.

To all that followed us through the journey, you would've seen the incredible transformations of two pitches in Uganda and Kenya (sadly, we couldn't get to Tanzania and Zambia, but that was out of our control). This journey has only motivated us to get phase two underway and provide grass pitches for as many charities, coaches and communities as possible.

We are currently building a pitch for Umoja Sport in Democratic Rep Of Congo, for a community that use sports to teach.
