Project 2000: Building a Memorial

Project 2000: Building a Memorial is our annual friend-raising and “building a memorial” campaign to raise funds for the expansion and upgrade needs of our vision to feed the hungry and rescue souls. We want to secure vans and finish construction for our food bank, which is not covered by regular church tithes and offerings. They typically are only sufficient to cover operating expenses. But this year, we want to reach our community beyond our normal operations.  We have a long-standing track record of giving back including back pack give aways, food bank distribution, homeless shelter outreach, job fairs and more.

How this project benefits you:

By extension, you will feed the poor: In 2020, amid the pandemic, we fed hundreds of families; many of which where homeless or in shelters. By partnering with us, you add to on your own account. The scripture says, if you give to the poor, you lend to the Lord and the Lord himself will repay you. (Proverbs 19:17)
You will support the rescue of precious souls, and according to Proverbs 11:30, “he that winneth souls is wise.”
You will create a memorial before God. Acts 10:4b NIV says, “The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.”
Your giving is tax-deductible. We are a verified 501c(3) organization.

Goal: The goal is to raise a total target amount of $100,000. We are asking each of our members and affiliates to friend-raise and/or contribute $2,000 beyond their normal giving to support the vision and build a memorial before God for themselves and/or on behalf of their family. With just 50 people friend-raising and/or giving $2,000, we will be able to:
•Secure Vans/buses to bring people to church
•Build/construct a kitchenette for our food bank
•Secure portable heaters and A/C units for outreach
•Create a studio to reach the world via media/social media
•Repair the HVAC system in our warehouse, which houses our food bank

Impetus 1: This year we want to build, rebuild, and multiply to expand the work of the kingdom. It is time to rebuild the wall according to Nehemiah 2:18, which states, “Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.”

Impetus 2: Also, we know that through our giving we can build a memorial before God. By giving to kingdom projects, you can establish a place of remembrance, through which, like Hezekiah who was able to remind God of what he had done and added 15 years to his life, you will be remembered in heaven in your day of need.
