ProgPower USA Visa Cost Recovery due to COVID-19

Donation protected

EDITED TO ADD:  We have closed the campaign after 24 hours.

We are absolutely in awe of your support.

This campaign was a remarkable movement in our community that demonstrates family is not always blood and that the power of music can indeed unite us and do incredible things.

Thank you seems insufficient. We definitely feel the love, support and commitment from all corners of the world, and for that, we are both eternally grateful.

This global pandemic has impacted us all one way or another and we realize many are struggling financially and also personally. Our hearts go out to everyone affected, as this virus is definitely not to be taken lightly. Please stay safe and take care of yourselves.

September 2021 will be here before we know it and we will make it epic.

Thank you video message from Glenn

It’s absolutely heartbreaking for us to be forced to cancel ProgPower USA XXI due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We do however believe this cancellation is in the best interest of all concert attendees and hold their safety, health and well being above all.

For over 20 years festival promoter, Glenn Harveston has organized and promoted the event as a fan first, promoter second. His transparency and communication with fans has been second to none. Our festival has no corporate backing and is 100% operated and funded by Glenn & Jennifer Harveston.

Unlike other music festivals in the world, ProgPower USA focuses on quality over quantity. We allow the bands ample set times while holding the event in a first-class indoor venue, Center Stage Atlanta. Each year, the main roster focuses on international bands rarely seen in the U.S. The festival gives these bands a well deserved chance for recognition within the progressive and power metal community.

In order for international bands to participate in the festival, the U.S. government requires work visas for each artist and crew member. These expenses include a professional service to prepare and submit the visa application, a fee for the letter of union approval from the American Federation of Musicians, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) application fee, and the U.S. consulate interview fees. Needless to say, the total cost of all these services can escalate rather quickly. These visas are only good for the petitioned dates and are not able to be extended. Thus, all visas for this year are invalid and will need to be applied for once again for next year. We lost in excess of $14,000 in visa applications this year alone.

We come to you in our time of need for assistance with recuperating those visa costs. If you are a fan of the festival and wish to see it continue until its scheduled end, we humbly ask for any donation you see fit.  If you are unable to donate, we would also appreciate sharing our campaign.

Thank you for your support over the years and consideration.
