Promote Agriculture Fund

Donation protected

WAFarmers, Kimberley Pilbara Cattlemen’s Association, Livestock & Rural Transport Association of WA, Stud Merino Breeders Association of WA and the WA Shearing Industry Association have formed a working group to collectively build finances through a Promote Agriculture Fund, formally being promoted as the Industry Fighting Fund.

The working group is coordinating the Promote Agriculture Fund as a collective effort, not only to raise much needed additional funds, but to demonstrate to the government that the current uncertainty around the live sheep trade has significant knock-on effects to a wide range of industries.

We are calling for all parties to help us build the sufficient resources to market the agricultural industry and educate the general, non-agricultural population in order to restore the good name and reputations of farmers country wide.

The finances raised through the relaunched Promote Agriculture Fund will be used for the positive promotion and protection of our industry.  The working group aims to build a pool of funds that will allow us to strategically advocate on behalf of the industry to State and Federal decision makers and to positively promote the industry to the general public.

Finances will be also be used to support and provide resources for an expert marketing strategy and advertising campaign.

The working group will continue to pursue possibilities of working with all industry parties to further strengthen the industry.

We would also encourage anyone who is not already a member of an advocacy body, to consider joining.

Being a member of an advocacy group is important as it ensures your voice is included in the strong chorus of WA producers, wishing for an expert and united vision being promoted to key decision makers and influencers.

We thoroughly appreciate your support and will continue to work for the betterment of our live export industry and the wider agricultural community.

*Please note that though this GoFundMe account is registered under the name of WAFarmers President Tony York, funds raised will go to the Promote Agriculture Fund, managed by WAFarmers, KPCA, LRTAWA, SMBAWA & WASIA on advice from and on behalf of industry.  Once a donation is made, you will receive an email confirming your donation – please remember , although it will say that the payment has been received by “Tony York”, it will be directed to the  Promote Agriculture Fund managed by  the working group, which is accessible to all of industry.
