What Is "Tommy Lee Must Die" About?
Emily And Rideout, 22, is on a mission to rescue her 16-year-old sister and only living relative from 46-year-old scumbag predator Tommy Lee Raymond.
In upper North Central Texas, along I-20, 16-year-old Amy Jo Rideout has gone missing—kidnapped by 46-year-old Tommy Lee Raymond—a shiftless, worthless mother-moocher.
The word is Ol' Tommy Lee is headed west in his ol' pickup truck, past Abilene, and towards Midland-Odessa, Texas, and beyond. Emily Ann, Amy Jo's 22-year-old sister, guardian, and only family left, is convinced Tommy Lee is responsible for the murder of her late mother—his former girlfriend. Emily "acquires" a car and gives chase.
May God be with Tommy Lee.
"Tommy Lee Must Die" is an intense, edge-of-the-seat journey by Emily Ann driven by limitless devotion, personal sacrifice, and unconditional love she has for Amy Jo.
Authorities Hands Are Tied.
When police tell Emily that their hands are tied, they can do nothing. Absent any overt illegal action by Tommy Lee, " we have to wait 'til he does something," they tell her.
Emily Takes Action on Her Own.
When Emily suddenly learns that Tommy Lee has been spotted on the run with Amy Jo, she "borrows" her boss's car and begins her chase. Nothing is going to stop her.
What Is A Typical Low-Budget/Indie Short Film Budget?
- The range of independent short films depends on the story (script), the script source, the set costs, locations, equipment, and post-production costs, to name a few. Costs can range from 10,000 to $500,000.
Our budget is a modest one. $55,000.
