Who ever thought that the gift of a dress could change a girl's entire outlook?

Who ever thought that the only thing more rewarding than receiving such a gift would be to give one?

At Project Princess we have taken these big ideas to amazing heights. With our upcoming annual event, 3 years running, on May 5th, 2018, Project Princess is asking for your help in making a difference for the young women of the Class of 2018.

Our mission at Project Princess is to give every girl her dream prom night. Project Princess believes that every girl should get to celebrate their graduation and understands many girls that do not have the resources to do so are also the girls who have overcome the most hardship in pursuing their goal to graduate. These girls have worked incredibly hard to achieve the academic milestone of graduation and deserve a chance to feel like the special, important, and beautiful young women that they are. Outfitting these girls for prom, a celebration of graduation that is often prohibitive for them to attend due to the high cost is a way for us to remove that barrier, and make it possible for them to celebrate their amazing accomplishments - all in great style.

We collect new or gently used prom, bridesmaids, and other appropriate formal wear in all sizes, as well as jewelry and accessories and partner with community organizations to host distribution events in neighborhoods where many students may feel the cost of prom to be prohibitive. Phipps Neighborhoods, this year's community partner in the South Bronx, serves these deserving students and is helping to bring up to 500 high school seniors to event. At the Prom Shop, volunteers guide Princesses one-on-one through the available dresses and help them to find the dress and accessories of their dreams. Project Princess is dedicated to making the distribution of collected dresses an incredibly personal experience, both for recipients of dresses and the volunteers. The Project Princess team, a group of 80 teens and young adults, with the support of their community advisers, is learning to seek out opportunities to find that which connects us, despite a world of disparity.

Your monetary donation to Project Princess will go towards ensuring that no deserving student is unable to become a Princess this prom season. We will invest your donations by buying missing sizes of dresses, where our donations could not keep up with the high demand, as well as in logistical necessities which allow us to see more girls at the Prom Shop. We appreciate every monetary donation we receive, and are still accepting dress and accessory donations as well.

We look forward to helping young women celebrate their success in style!

Thank you for your support of our Princesses, our volunteers, and our mission,
