<div>
 Second Chances Inc. is deeply saddened to announce that funding for our Family Support program has been cut
</div>
<div>
 in full. Unless urgent private funding is secured to replace this shortfall, this vital program will close on 31
</div>
<div>
 December 2026.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 This is not a distant possibility. It is an immediate and serious threat to the future of a service that vulnerable
</div>
<div>
 children, young people, and families depend on every day. Without urgent financial support, children affected by
</div>
<div>
 parental incarceration, trauma, hardship, and family disruption could lose one of the few specialist services in
</div>
<div>
 South Australia that understands their needs and walks alongside them through crisis and uncertainty.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 For many of the people we support, Second Chances is more than a program. It is a trusted source of safety,
</div>
<div>
 advocacy, practical help, stability, and hope. When families are under pressure, when children feel forgotten, and
</div>
<div>
 when young people are struggling to cope with the impact of imprisonment and disadvantage, this service
</div>
<div>
 provides support that is personal, consistent, and life-changing.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 The loss of this funding places that support in grave danger. If replacement funding is not found, vulnerable
</div>
<div>
 children and families will be left facing even greater isolation, distress, and instability. The consequences will not
</div>
<div>
 stop with the families themselves. The impact will be felt across schools, support services, community
</div>
<div>
 organisations, and the broader community, as more people are pushed into crisis without the early intervention
</div>
<div>
 and practical care this program provides.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We want the public to understand the urgency of this moment. This program now needs immediate financial
</div>
<div>
 support to survive. Without new funding, it cannot continue. We are fighting for action and working to secure the
</div>
<div>
 money needed to keep this essential service alive, but we cannot do it alone
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We are calling on compassionate members of the public, community leaders, businesses, philanthropic
</div>
<div>
 organisations, and donors to stand with us now. If you have ever believed that vulnerable children deserve
</div>
<div>
 support, that families in hardship should not be abandoned, and that early intervention matters, this is the time
</div>
<div>
 to act.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Every contribution matters. Every act of support matters. Every dollar brings us closer to keeping this service
</div>
<div>
 open for the children, young people, and families who need it most.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Second Chances believes that children should not be made to pay the price for funding cuts. We believe families
</div>
<div>
 already carrying the burden of incarceration, trauma, and disadvantage should not be left behind. And we believe
</div>
<div>
 that, with urgent community and private financial support, this service can continue.
</div>
<div>
 The need is real. The deadline is real. And the funding required is urgent.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Now is the time to stand with Second Chances and help protect this vital service before it is lost.
