<div>Hello! My name is Emily Vander Woude. I am raising money to buy a 3D printer, to be able to make this project come to life. My goal is to design and 3D print the entire wheelchair shell and structure, including custom parts like interchangeable wheels for different terrains (sand, grass, etc.), a removable seat, and a custom cushion printed with flexible TPU. The motorized and electrical components will not be 3D printed—those will be high-quality, standard wheelchair motors, batteries, and wiring for safety and durability. I want to be the first person to 3D print a fully functional powered wheelchair shell--Foxy Wheels at just 18 years old. This is named after my friend Mal who uses a power wheelchair every day and is often limited by where her chair can go.  Powered wheelchairs ARE NOT waterproof. By 3D printing a wheelchair, I can use waterproof materials like carbon fiber filament to hide or cover the wiring and make it completely waterproof so none of the electronics can get damaged. Foxy Wheels can make the 3D printed powered wheelchair into a manual wheelchair by removing the battery. There are other features like a removable seat and custom cushion printed from TPU. Some people may say an 18-year-old can't create something this big or this difficult, well, I'm telling you I can. I have a passion for helping people in every way I can. By designing and making this wheelchair, I can show people that I have a love for others and that I'm determined to make a difference with my design. I have lots of experience with 3D printing with Bambu Studios. I have designed and made lots of objects that have successfully worked and I'm confident this will too. I'm not only raising money to buy materials for this project but I'm raising it so I can make a difference in this world and create something that has never been done before.
