We know that when small acts of kindness and care are multiplied, it can strengthen a community. Whether you can give $5 today or $500, all of it helps the families and individuals impacted by the Princeton St fire. Thank you for your contribution!

As many of you have witnessed, on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, there was a dreadful fire on Princeton St. There were huge flames that swallowed the home of 20 adults and 8 kids. In addition, our neighbors have lost their bed, clothes, and a cat that unfortunately passed away. At this very moment, at least 20 adults and 8 kids are displaced and vulnerable.

We acknowledge that there are groups of neighbors already working on food and clothing drives, and we know that getting food and clothes to our neighbors is very important. We also acknowledge that this fire has started a hard journey for the affected families and individuals, and they will need financial support in the near future. 

Mutual Aid Eastie and the Social Centers are jointly and transparently fundraising for these families and individuals. We are asking the community of East Boston, our neighbors, and you for support and donations. As we raise these funds, we are working to contact each individual affected by the fire; we are asking for their most urgent need and working with them to get back on their feet. 

Any amount of funds that you can donate is helpful. However, 100% of the funds donated will go to the families affected by the fire. Mutual Aid Eastie and the Social Center are committed to working with the families, distributing these funds equitably, and honoring transparency with our community of East Boston.

Como muchos de ustedes han sido testigos, el martes 19 de julio de 2022 hubo un espantoso incendio en la calle Princeton. Hubo enormes llamas que se tragaron la casa de 20 adultos y 8 niños. Nuestros vecinos han perdido su cama, su ropa, un gato que desgraciadamente ha fallecido. Al menos 20 adultos y 8 niños están desplazados y son vulnerables en este momento.

Reconocemos que hay grupos de vecinos que ya están trabajando en la recolección de alimentos y ropa, sabemos que hacer llegar alimentos y ropa a nuestros vecinos es muy importante. También reconocemos que este incendio ha iniciado un duro camino para las familias y personas afectadas y que necesitarán apoyo financiero en un futuro próximo.

Mutual Aid Eastie y El Social Centers están recaudando fondos de forma colaborativa y transparente para estas familias e individuos.Estamos pidiendo a la comunidad de East Boston, a nuestros vecinos, a ustedes, apoyo y donaciones. Mientras recaudamos estos fondos estamos trabajando para contactar a cada individuo afectado por el incendio, estamos preguntando por su necesidad más urgente y trabajando con ellos para que puedan volver a ponerse de pie.
