My name is Ashlei Harding, and my beautiful daughter Ariana, has been diagnosed with stage III Nephroblastoma on July 21, 2017 at 17 months old.
The following morning, my Ariana went into emergency surgery to have a tumor, the size of a small cantaloupe, removed. Unfortunately that was not all, her right kidney had to be removed as well. During this surgery they inserted a port to assist with administering her chemo, allowing it to be a little less painful for her when drawing blood. Also, while removing the tumor, there was tumor spillage due to internal bleeding, which in turn caused Princess Ariana to go through a series of radiation beginning a week and a half after her initial surgery. Following the radiation treatment, Ariana is currently undergoing chemotherapy every Friday.
It is truly unbelievable how in the blink of an eye my whole world has changed. My Princess, Ariana, was a healthy 17 month old that was outgoing and ahead of all of her milestones since birth! This diagnosis is especially difficult for me to process, since I work with Oncology & Hematology patients on a daily basis. It’s almost unbelievable at such a tender age my baby girl is undergoing so much. However, I know that He is watching over my intelligent, gracious, one and only daughter, and He doesn’t ever give us more than we handle. Ariana and I are just your average people, simple and normal (if there is ever such a thing), but we are fighting extraordinary battles. Princess Ariana is very resilient and she is healing, but we need your help. If you could please keep us in your prayers, and donate whatever you can to assist with the medical bills due to her new diagnosis, that would mean the world to me, my daughter, and my family.
