I am a 2-Time Track and Field Olympian and currently training for the Gold medal at Rio 2016 in the 800M. I am looking for support for my training, travel, and expenses.
I was born and raised in Zambia, Africa. While in 6th grade, a teacher punished mefor being noisy in class by making me run around the track. This was a blessing in disguise as it was the moment Idiscovered his love of track, and it changed my life!
My love for running grew as I continually pushed myself to improve. Despite many obstacles, I believed in myself and pushed myself to excel in the sport. My hard work, dedication, and strong work ethic paid off when I competed in my first World Championships as a high school student, competed in multiple additional World Championships, was awarded a full athletic scholarship at Oral Roberts University, and qualified for 3 Olympic with 2 Olympic appearances.
I am a resident of Santa Monica and ready to again take on the world in my sport. I currently train with Joe Douglas, former coach of Carl Lewis and Johnny Gray. Also, for the first time in my career, I have a complete team supporting me--a sports chiropractor, a mental coach, and a world ranked U.S. National Fencer--who work together to ensure his body and mind are performing at optimal levels.
