Prince Rocco Urgently Needs Your Support!!!
On Friday, October 23, 2020 and otherwise playful high energy Rocco started whimpering in pain looking into my eyes asking for help. I tried comforting him stroking him which made him cry more. I checked his box to see if he had gone to bathroom and discovered he did not and vomited next to his litter bed. Then, I checked his food and water that was untouched. I immediately called his veterinary hospital El Toro Animal Hospital who said he may have eaten something that he wasn't supposed too. Also, they mentioned that there were not any appointments available until Saturday. And, to schedule him at that time if symptoms still persist.
All through that night, my Rocco continued to make moaning and whimpering sounds in pain. Both of us did not eat or sleep. Saturday, October 24th morning we went to his appointment earlier and waited in the parking lot at the veterinary hospital to ensure he was seen soon then later. the doctor came outside to tell me Rocco must go into emergency surgery due to an obstruction causing urine to flood his bladder and stay over the weekend to recover. He also mentioned, that I needed to sign an estimated costly medical bill for tests, surgery and aftercare medications. I had to pay a down payment of $725.00 and pay remaining balance upon pick-up. They would not take him and cancel surgery if I couldn't come up with down payment money. I reached out to family and friends to help come up with the the down amount and paid then they took him into surgery.
Over 2 and a half years ago, I rescued Rocco through pet adoption. After a bad breakup, he has actually has been by lifeline of support, little man of the house and rescued me. In February 2020, my mother got pneumonia had a heart attack and passed away. In order for all family and friend to attend her funeral the memorial was held off until March 7, 2020. Rocco could feel my loss and made it a point to comfort me by massaging my back insuring not hurt me with his nails.
In April 2020, I was impacted by COVID-19 losing my job due to lay-off. Once again, Rocco distracted me with his favorite hairband catch and fetch game. Since that time, I was receiving unemployment which ran out 4 weeks ago. An extension and reissue will come as soon as the Governor completes a state-wide identity fraud investigation due to being inundated with so many false claim scams. I have been living off credit cards which have now maxed that their limits and have no money left. After months of isolation and job searching depression and anxiety developed. I myself was diagnosed with Sarcoidsis Disease In addition. Rocco comforted me gently brushing my feet in the kitchen while I was cooking with severe ankle joint pain. Then, he will jump on his pet palace looking for me to reward him with a treat. He also loves doing yoga and lunges with me across the floor which distracted me from pain and worries.
I am reaching out to potential donors on how urgent Rocco's situation is for me to to get financial support. I fear the vet hospital won't let me pick-up my little man of the house if I don't pay the balance in full. Help me have the opportunity to save Rocco's life the way he has saved mine.
