Pricela's "Up With People" Tour

Hello friends! Thank you for taking the time to visit my site. I created this site in hopes of reaching more people than I have in my own personal network. I constantly talk about my hopes of traveling around the world and how important it is to help people in need. I found an organization that embodies all those desires with an added pleasure of mine, performing! Up With People is an organization that I hope to be traveling with in January 2015. This organization provides a unique way to travel, expand my perspective with different communities, as I will be staying with host families within these cities that I travel to, and we get to impact through the art of music and performance.

When I left Tucson and moved to Phoenix in 2011, I had hoped to expand my knowledge about communities beyond the borders of Tucson and fortunately, I did. It was the best decision I ever made. Being here, I have learned a lot about myself and grew a closer relationship with God. In growing that relationship, I learned that life is about love and how we are the tools to help those in need.

A few friends of mine have traveled with this organization and I have only heard amazing stories. I always thought about how amazing it was for them to experience all those things and I thought it was beyond something I could ever do. This past winter I got to spend time with Miguel Samaniego, currently on tour with Up With People, and he asked me, "Why haven't you done it yet?" The most important question I had been asked. I thought about it and contemplated over this question until I decided to check it out. Once I saw their website, I knew it was for me. I applied and recently got the call that I had been accepted. What an amazing opportunity! I cried because I was so happy and couldn't even wrap my head around the idea that I would be gone for 6 months traveling and learning about people!

Now, the reason I need to expand my network is because I need to raise money for the program. The fee for this program is $17,500. It's a lot, I know, but I know with your help it will help me tremendously. I thought, if I could get 17 people to donate $1,000 I'd be golden! But let's be real, I'd be more realistic if I assumed I could get 875 people to donate $20. Any small contribution gets me closer to my goal.

I must admit, I am not a person that usually asks for money. I am definitely a "do it yourself" kind of girl so it is extremely uncomfortable for me to ask for your donations. If you cannot donate money, I would be happy to accept an idea to help raise money too or your donated prayers are always welcomed. If I can do anything at all to earn your donations, I can clean, cook and sometimes I can babysit...although I'm not sure that you want to leave your kid with me...just saying. (I'm not so bad) Again, I appreciate you taking the time to read about my new adventure and I thank you in advance for your help.
