Prevo Family Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Sunday evening (June 7) Anchorage had a big thunderstorm roll through that shook cars, homes and rattled residents. The storm also produced powerful lightning strikes. One lightning bolt struck a friend's house and set it ablaze. My friend's (Allen Prevo) house suffered fire, smoke and water damage. Praise the Lord, Allen and his family got out unharmed. Seven fire trucks and over 30 firefighters responded. The fire was knocked down quickly and extinguished. However, the upper portion of the house sustained fire damage, and considerable damage was caused by the water firefighters had to use to put out the flames. Recovery and repairs have begun but the road to getting back to normal will take months. Allen and his family are displaced from their home until it is safe to return. Much of the repairs and restoration will be cover by insurance but as you can expect there will be deductibles and other items that will not be covered.
