Preston Mason's family is devastated by the loss of their patriarch, husband, father, and breadwinner. His friends, neighbors, and clients are rallying to assist the family with final expenses and household needs.
Preston worked hard for his clients and his family. He worked hard for his community. He was project manager of the Riverwalk Atlanta park along the Chattahoochee River, and the Riverside Park, both near his home. He was an elected Fulton Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor. He volunteered with the South River Watershed Alliance. He created green infrastructure at the Whetstone Creek. He helped create the Saporta Nature Preserve on Proctor Creek. He maintained small yards and large estates for many clients. He is missed.

I live in the Mason family's neighborhood of Riverside in Atlanta, a few blocks away from them. I am a close family friend. I have known Preston and Linda for two decades. Preston and I have worked together in the Riverside Neighborhood Association, and the Neighborhood Planning Unit - D during these past 20 years. I have voted for Preston to remain as our elected Supervisor on the Board of the Fulton Soil and Water Conservation District. Most recently, we have worked together for nearly four years for the first Saturday of each month work day in Riverside Park. We have created about two miles of hiking trails and cleared tons of invasive species within the park and along the Chattahoochee River. As already stated, the funds from this campaign will be used for Preston's funeral expenses, and the remainder for Linda's household expenses in the coming months, to include several mortgage payments. When I withdraw the funds from this campaign, I intend to pay service providers and the mortgage company directly to the greatest extent possible, and to deliver the excess funds to the widow Linda Mason.
