Preserve LGBTQ Buffalo histories!

Since 2016, the Buffalo-Niagara LGBTQ History Project has dedicated itself to preserving and sharing local LGBTQ histories with the people of Western New York. And from our very first event, we have committed to making sure that everybody, no matter their financial situation, can come to our events.

To keep doing that, we need your help.

The History Project has a lot of stuff coming up over the next several months. Right now, we're working on an exhibit about the founding of Buffalo's first LGBTQ rights organization, which will tour schools, libraries, community centers, and other venues. Next year, we'll be releasing a documentary, and hosting an event on the history of trans men/trans masculinities in Buffalo. And we're working on yet another event, too--onewe're not yet ready to share much info about yet. All that, plus we want to keep giving walking tours periodically, and we're working to obtain our 501c3.

Please help a group of dedicated volunteers with extravagant dreams, and a much less extravagant budget, share local LGBTQ history with you! Help us to keep our events cheap, sliding scale, and open to everybody.
