It's way too soon. Shenika Brown has lost her fight with cancer. She passed away on 9-22-18.
Shenika Brown was born August 6, 1978. She was an amazing mother to two wonderful boys; Jamari, 18, and Jhaylen, 12. She was diagnosed with throat cancer in October 2017.
Her family rallied around her through this fight and everything that could have been done was done.
Shenika did not have life insurance or any means to pay for a funeral and burial; neither do her family members. That is why this GoFundMe account was created. Her youngest sister, Krystal, has taken custody of Shenika's youngest, Jhaylen, and will raise him. Her family will do everything that they can, but they need help to provide the service and final resting place that Shenika deserves.
Shenika's mother, Dorothy Ann Gayle, passed away in February of 2011. Dorothy's children are on their own and have to move forward together to provide for Shenika's children. Jamari is currently attending college and it was Shenika's greatest wish that he continue his education and graduate, despite the tragic circumstances they all now face.
