Preparation Fund For Full Time Ministry!

Hey! My name is Joshua Butler, and I am a missionary in Cambodia! I just finished my Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) at the Pisa, Italy campus. After three months of lecture, we were sent out on a three-month mission trip to Cambodia! During those three months, the Lord placed a love in my heart for the people of Cambodia. The Khmer people have been gifted with God's love, joy, and warm welcoming spirit and the Lord has called me to stay to minister and support them! I will be doing so with YWAM Poipet, partnering with all the amazing things the Lord has been building and growing through the campus.

I have been in the country since December, and I will stay until October of this year. During the next six months, the Lord has tasked me with developing practical skills to become a full-time missionary in Cambodia. That means I have two very practical steps.

I will be enrolled in two schools that are three months each. The first school is a Khmer language school with YWAM Battambang. This school is an intensive to jump-start my Khmer knowledge and set me up for success in furthering my language abilities to serve the Khmer people!

The second school will be the Discipleship Bible School in YWAM Poipet. This school is built to teach how to study the Bible well and be able to teach and study alongside others. This is a step that God has shown me so that I may be more effective in communicating His word to others.

I am so excited about what the Lord has in store in this season of development and preparation. The reality is all this costs money. That is where you get to come in and partner with the Lord and me to help advance the kingdom and the work being done here.

The Khmer Language School is $1,800 for the whole school, housing, food, and any extra costs that the school sees fit. Cultural experiences, school outings, etc. This school starts on April 17th!

The Discipleship Bible School is $1,500. Again, this covers the school, housing food, and extra costs. Such as bringing in teachers, materials, etc. This school starts June 26th!
