To limit the spread of coronavirus, school is closed in Maryland, and learning is going online.
But my 36 students are 4- and 5-year-old PreK children, all of whom meet low-income eligibility requirements, and for us, school is 90% hands-on activities!
To support hands-on learning at home for my students and their families, I would like to provide a kit of materials that can be delivered to their homes. I've found an attractive, durable kit designed for home learning with literacy, math and social studies activities. (I will be providing a daily outdoor science activity through my online communication app!)
Each kit costs around $30; your contributions to my $1000 fund will allow me deliver one to each family and see them through this time of isolation and uncertainty with some fun hands-on learning. Thank you!
