Precious' Continual Care

Summer 2018 was a season of celebration:  proms, graduation and a hopeful look to the future as the time to head to college rapidly approached. On Sunday, August 12th a car carrying 5 teenagers careened off Hwy 24, falling over 100 feet after flying across the freeway to land, resulting in the untimely deaths of two young people, and leaving the three remaining teens with severe injuries.  Our beloved Marchelle Pettiford, fondly known as Precious to family and friends, was a passenger in that vehicle. The devastation and heartbreak, along with the financial and physical hardship that the accident has caused the family is unfathomable.  Precious has suffered major injuries that have left her mostly immobile and needing 24 hour care. Precious is an 18 year old graduate of Deer Valley High School with a Certificate of Completion in Biomedical Science.  She plans to further her studies to become a Dental Hygienist.  Since early childhood, Precious has volunteered with various programs and non-profit organizations, providing meals, toys, school supplies, furniture, etc to those in need. Precious was raised in Antioch by her single mother who had just lost her medical insurance before this tragedy struck. The family is seeking support during this incredibly difficult time.  While long term care and financial needs are unknown, your support will aide in providing medical supplies, prescriptions, bills, overall care, and special dietary items, etc. Any amount provided will be of great appreciation and will help the family tremendously!  The family is eternally grateful for the continued prayers, the love and support during this time.
