NOTRE PROJET - OUR PROJECT

Cette année, les 6 étudiants de l’édition 2018 se déplaceront au Rwanda afin d’y construire un poste de santé dans le village de Kunturo. Celui-ci sera composé d’une salle de chirurgie, une salle de consultation, une pharmacie, un espace laboratoire, des installations sanitaires ainsi que d’un système de récupération des eaux de pluie. En plus de stimuler l’économie locale pendant et après sa construction, ce poste répondra à un besoin primordial dans la communauté d’environ 10 200 citoyens, soit l’accès à des soins de santé à proximité. Devant présentement marcher 6 kilomètres au travers des collines avant d’arriver au poste de santé le plus proche, la population du village de Kunturo est victime d’un taux important de mortalité infantile dû aux déplacements difficiles lors des grossesses . Au moment où vous lisez ceci, les travaux ont officiellement débuté à Kunturo et tous les fonds ramassez sur cette plateforme aideront à l'acheminement de matériel medicale au poste de santé! 


This year, the 6 students of the 2018 edition will travel to Rwanda to build a health post in the village of Kunturo.  It will be composed of a surgery room, a consultation room, a pharmacy, a laboratory, sanitary installations and a rain water recuperation system. In addition of stimulating the local economy during and after it’s construction, this center will respond to a primordial need in the community of roughly 10 200 citizens by providing access to health care services nearby the village. Currently having to walk about 6 kilometers through the hills in order to get to the closest center, the population of the village of Kunturo is victim of high infantile mortality rates during pregancy due to the tough travelling conditions. At the very moment you're reading this, work officially began in Kunturo and all the funds gathered on this platform will help providing medical equipment to the health post!

Pour célébrer le 25e anniversaire de notre organisme à but non lucratif,  nous, les membres de PRÉCI 2018, avons couru un marathon* le 27 mai 2018 afin d’amasser des fonds pour notre bâtiment en Afrique. Venant de plusieurs milieux sportifs différents, cette épreuve nous a permis de nous mesurer les uns aux autres dans une compétition amicale pour une cause qui nous tient particulièrement à coeur. 

*Felix Sauvageau,  Philip McAllister ainsi que Kevin Hakim Etienne ont effectué un marathon de manière individuelle, puis Camille Mondou, Frédérica Bouffard Forest et Marc-André Brunet ont couru un marathon à relais. 


To celebrate the 25th anniversary of our NGO, we, us member of PRECI 2018, ran a marathon* on May 27th 2018 in order to collect funds for our building in Africa. Coming from differents sports backgrounds, this dare allowed us to go up against each other in a friendly competition for a cause that we deeply care about

*Felix Sauvageau,  Philip McAllister and Kevin Hakim Etienne all ran individual a marathon while Camille Mondou, Frédérica Bouffard Forest and Marc-André Brunet ran a marathon relay.

À PROPOS DE NOUS - ABOUT US

Le Programme de regroupement étudiant pour la coopération internationale (PRÉCI) regroupe des étudiants bénévoles de l’École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) qui veulent combiner leurs connaissances en ingénierie et leur empathie humanitaire afin de venir en aide à une communauté démunie. Ce groupe existe depuis 1994 et, pour nommer que ceux-ci, a précédemment réalisé des projets de coopération internationale au Madagascar, au Népal et au Togo au cours des 3 dernières années.


The Programme de regroupement étudiant pour la coopération internationale (PRÉCI) gather volunteer students from the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) that wishes to combine their knowledge in engineering and their humanitarians values to help a community stricken by poverty. This group exist since 1994 and, to name only those few, has done international cooperation projects in Madagascar, in Nepal and in Togo over the last 3 years.
