Praying for Lance

Lance Guyette is a 44 year old loving husband and father of three children.  Lance has been trying to manage a rare blood disorder called anticardiolipin anti-body syndrome.  Lance was diagnosed with this rare disorder twenty years ago.  During those twenty years he has undergone multiple emergency surgeries.  

The most recent event occurred on March 15th when he started vomiting blood and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.  Lance had surgery where the surgeons had to open his stomach and found two spots where the bleeds began, leaving him with a ten inch incision.

Lance was a fighter and tried his hardest to recover over the days ahead, however on the 11th day after surgery he started bleeding again.  Once again, he was rushed into emergency surgery.  This time, Lance's body lost nearly all his blood supply and his heart failed.  The medical staff needed to perform CPR on him prior to starting surgery.  During the lengthy surgery, Lance was depleted of his blood supply and administered 19 units of red blood cells, 7 units of plasma, 8 units of platelets, 10 units of cryoprecipitate.  

As fragile as Lance was, internal injuries were due to him simply coughing as a result of pneumonia.  Due to the excessive, harsh coughing, the doctors put Lance into a medically induced sedation and paralyzed coma, so he could heal properly without further damage.  Lance is considered critical but stable.  

Lance's recovery will be a very long road ahead and as we all know the enormous medical expenses will be starting to roll in.  Any help in this time of need would be greatly appreciated.  So please spread the word, share the page and please pray for Lance and his family.  There is power in prayer, "Lord, we pray to you that you provide for this family.  Provide hope and healing for Lance, and strength and faith for Korena and their three children."   Keep praying for Lance.  Thank you.
