My nephew, Trey Davis, who I have always considered my first son, was involved in a tragic swimming accident on the night of Saturday, June 8th, which left him initially fighting for his life, to now being completely paralyzed from the neck down. After a 5 hour surgery at Shands Hospital on Sunday, June 9th, which was deemed successful, Trey will now be fighting to walk again.

As many of you are aware, Trey’s hospital bills are going to add up exponentially. Coupled with the fact that Trey’s rehabilitation will begin immediately afterwards at the nationally renowned Shepherd Center in Atlanta, we are in need of your help. Many people have reached out to members of my family as well as myself inquiring on how they can help, therefore I have decided to create a GoFundMe page in an effort to offset some of the impending medical bills. I think I can speak on behalf of Trey and my entire family in saying that we greatly appreciate all of the texts, phone calls, and most importantly the prayers that have been extended to us.

PLEASE understand that I do not want your bill money or your last dollar. Whereas I appreciate everyone’s potential generosity, this memo is intended strictly for people that can afford to help, no matter the denomination. Regardless if you choose to contribute to Trey’s cause or not, please continue to pray that God heals this spectacular young man.
