Typhoon Yutu was a Super Typhoon, a Category 5 Hurricane, a thief: it stole homes, it stole safety, it stole lives. Now, more than 50,000 people in the Northern Marianas Islands are left in the wake of Typhoon Yutu without homes, electricity, belongings, and in some cases, without shelters to stay in. Our goal is to raise money to help with recovery and rebuilding the schools that were destroyed.

The Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands is a small group of peaceful islands and is a United States Territory--but most importantly, it's our home. Our home needs help and help starts with you.
Here are a couple stories of people that have been affected by Typhoon Yutu:

Chenoa and Minori:
We are both Columbia University students from Saipan, one of the islands that got ravaged by this typhoon. While it's been difficult for us to see our home attacked so viciously from thousands of miles away, we've been coordinating with Representative Kilili, Columbia University, and other scattered islanders on the mainland to send help home. We are organizing this GoFundMe campaign as well as clothing/supply donations for shipment to the island. If you'd like to get more involved or have any questions we can be contacted at: [email redacted] and [email redacted]
