#PrayForOrlando - Victim Fundraiser

UPDATED: This money from this campaign will be going to Equality Florida to get this money as close to the victims as possible.
After speaking with Equality Florida via Facebook, they informed me of the following:
"We are working with a team of attorneys and experts, including the National Center for Victims of Crime, which deployed funds in both the Chattanooga and Aurora shootings, to ensure funds are distributed correctly. Victim names are still being released and our team is working to identify all injured and deaths as they have in other regions which have suffered from similar horrific tragedies.
As this information is not yet released, our objective is to raise as much as we can for these victims and ultimately ensure these funds are distributed as fast as possible. "
This fundraiser is being managed by Things Floridians Like , LLC. I am a UCF alumni and founding member of the company and will ensure that every dollar goes to the cause. I have worked to raise money for other nonprofits such as Florida Abolitionist and Children's Miracle Network in the past.

Early in the morning of June 12, a man committed a mass shooting in the Orlando area leaving over 50 killed and over 50 injured, making this the worst mass shooting in US history.
The attacker fired shots around 2 a.m. at Pulse Nightclub. He took a number of people hostage and police were able to stop the attacker around 5 a.m.
