'Take Flight for Maksim'

On December 31, 2014, 21 month old Maksim was admitted to Childrens Hospital for severe lethargy and dehydration. It was then learned that Maksim was infected with E Coli which led to Hemolytic-Uremic Syndrome (HUS) (the destruction of red blood cells) and kidney failure. He began Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) in the form of peritoneal dialysis.
A week later he went into septic shock and was intubated. He was in a very critical state and the Drs. were concerned. Over the course of the following weeks and many ups and downs, he was just not improving.
On January 19th Maksim underwent an exploratory surgery in his abdomen which resulted in the removal of the majority of his colon / large intestine that was most likely the cause of sepsis, and surely would have taken his life. At that time he was also switched over to Hemodialysis. Maksim will remain heavily sedated and on the ventilator until his body starts to acclimate to the massive changes it has endured and he becomes more stable.

OUR GOD IS GREATER and we are believing in a complete restoration of his body! Please continue to lift Maksim and his family in prayer as we believe his body will be healed!
