Pulling Together for Paul

Our Daddy - the amazing, larger than life Paul Schaefer - is in the middle of a brave fight against Stage IV colon cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC). He was diagnosed on 8/28 and had surgery on 9/3 to remove his spleen, the orginal tumor from the colon, and a brick sized tumor from his abdomen. After completing four rounds of chemo, we unfortunately learned today that the cancer has not responded, has progressed, and that he is not a candidate for a second surgery in Louiville. Not giving up and always keeping #HOPE, we have requested appointments with surgeons doing great work with PC in North Carolina, Maryland, and Washington DC. Every little bit helps to help us pay for travel expenses, lodging, etc. for initial doctors' visits and hopefully surgery to follow. Daddy is faced with tough odds but remains positive and ready to fight. All of your prayers, support, and love mean the absolute world to Daddy and our entire family.
