Patrick Schwamm family fund

Our dear friend and colleague would say he was "just dealt a bad hand".  But it was news that would change his life forever.  Patrick was diagnosed earlier this month with terminal cancer at 49 years old.  As he explained to me this is "not the kind of cancer you beat"  Pat has liver, lymph node and bile duct cancer and has probably been carrying it for quite a while.  The doctors tell him that he has less than a 2% chance of survival and that with chemotherapy he could beat the odds and live maybe up to 18 months.  Devastating news to say the least.

Patrick is amazing person and I can't say enough about the guy.  He is an amazing husband to his wife Melinda of 21 years and father to his kids Katie (19) and Alex (17).   He is proud of the family he has and is grateful to be with them whenever he can.

I have been blessed to know him and work with him over the last few years and he is a joy to be around.  Never in a bad mood,  quick to tell a joke or brighten your day, he knows the best food spots, can tell you all the best hockey players in history.  He loves to talk about his favorite team the Detroit Redwings when ever possible and he is one hell of a good car guy!

Patrick is not giving up or are the people around him.  We encourage everyone to give what they can and help support Patrick and his family through this difficult time.

We will be having a fund raiser for Patrick at Sears Imports in early December.  I will keep everyone updated on the details as they are available.
