Support for Lyriq

On January 8, 2015 Channing, wife of Patrick and mother to Zayden, went into a routine prenatal appointment with slight pains. After an ultrasound showed low to no amniotic fluid and abnormal growth percentage, she was admitted to Baptist Medical Center for 24 hour monitoring. Within 2 hours of admission Lyriq's heart rate significantly dropped twice within 30 minutes. At 8:29pm their beautiful daughter, Lyriq Lynn Lourcey Finch, came into this world via emergency c-section 11 weeks early at only 29wks, weighing 1lb 6oz. Lyriq was immediately taken into NICU care where she will remain until her gestation date in late March. The challenges associated with having a baby in NICU are highly emotional and stressful. There are good days and bad days that may make parents anxious and even feel lost. Due to the severity of Lyriq's condition she will require extensive medical attention for a few months which will be quite costly. Being that she was 3 months early we were not completely prepared for her arrival. Our goal in this project is to provide a chance for people who may want to help Lyriq's parents in the financial strain that will be imposed on us during her stay in NICU. We plan to keep a continuous public update on Lyriq along with video and pictures of her progress. Any and all donations will go to Lyriq's stay in the NICU and any possible future problems that may arise.
