Just want to place an update. Supporters have been so generous the past couple of days with the donations and we can't thank you all enough.
Kennedy started chemo last night 7/26. Please keep her in your thoughts & prayers. <3
I am setting this up for my Aunt & Uncle and their girls. Their daughter, Kennedy, 14, was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) this week.
They are just another day to day, hard-working family like the rest of us and have been hit with the awful news. Kennedy was feeling sick and they decided to take her to the ER when her fever was high. The ER said that she either had a bad infection or Leukemia. That is something you NEVER want to hear about anyone, especially your child.
The doctor's say that it is treatable but could take up to 2 years of treatments. Ricky & Amber Gorman will not be able to work like normal and have normal bills plus the expense of the treatment and hospital stays for Kennedy. Their family can only do so much to help and we have decided to reach out for them in hopes of raising any funds/support at all to help.
If you can help in any way, financially or otherwise, we would all be so grateful. You don't think about these things happening until it happens to you or your family. Its scary, heartbreaking, and very hard to deal with.
