Dear friends,
It is with great excitement that I write to you today about the Prayers for Imran Rashid benefit! Imran and his family are dear to me and 1000's of others and I humbly ask for your contribution to this effort!
One of my dear friends, Mr. Imran Rashid, was diagnosed in late May of this year with a major brain tumor called a Craniopharyngioma . In June, he underwent emergency surgery to remove it. Unfortunately, the surgeons were only able to extract 70% of the tumor and there were major complications and multiple surgeries were needed to save his life. He has suffered multiple strokes since these surgeries and has been in ICU ever since. He will be receiving radiation and many other treatments over the next several months. Ladies and gentlemen, he needs our help for not only himself but his wife and children as well.
Imran was the bread winner in the family. Due to effects of the tumor; Imran suffered from memory loss and even more severe cognitive problems. These problems affected not only his home life but also his professional career and resulted in the loss of his job and medical benefits just days before the tumor was diagnosed. His former employers tried to help but all they could offer was Cobra insurance. As I am sure you are aware this insurance is extremely expensive and as it turns out the premiums for this insurance are double that of the family's mortgage payments.
Imran is a good man, a great husband and father, and a strong leader in the community. It is his friends and fans that have made this effort possible. I have joined this team to help organize the events and now to help raise monetary donations and donations in-kind to help facilitate these events and raise the money this family needs to survive and move forward during these hard times. All the money raised from this online benefit and others we have scheduled, except what expenses we have from these events will go to the Rashid family. I, nor any of the people involved, will receive any of these funds.
