Strickland Family Love Fund

(CNN)As country singer Craig Strickland and his friend Chase Morland set off to hunt ducks during a winter storm in northern Oklahoma over the weekend, Morland sent what is, in retrospect, a haunting tweet.
"In case we don't come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma. #IntoTheStorm," Morland tweeted late Saturday.

Days later, Morland is dead, and searchers are looking for Strickland in Oklahoma's Kaw Lake, where their boat purportedly overturned.

a prayer from a post I made on facebook for the family:
As I get ready to go to bed and think about the way this week has played out so far it's so weird to feel this calm. I can only say this because of the calm the  family has gracefully shown us. Their strength and faith in God has inspired me and I know so many of you. We have all been praying for a miracle to happen and we will of course keep praying for the one miracle we want so badly, but I do believe the true miracle is how Craig has touched lives and through his beautiful wife and family been able to witness to so many. I can't say I won't cry again as my heart hurts so much for them as there are things you just feel aren't fair in life and you never want to see anyone hurt, but through them I draw strength and shouldn't it be the other way around. That family has touched lives, changed hearts and led so many to God, and Craig and Helen have shown so many of what a true love story really is. Through their love for Christ he led them to each other. The story will never be over regardless of the outcome because this family allows God to write their story. And I can't wait to see where this story takes us in years to come. To my friends I adore you, I cry for you, I thank you, and I pray constantly for you. ‪#‎prayersforcraig‬

The intention of this fund is to help the family and the search teams cover the expenses associated with the search. Friends and family are staying in hotels in an unfamiliar town and any donations to help cover the costs of this trying time would be greatly appreciated. 100% of the funds raised are managed by Craig's wife.

UPDATE AS OF JAN 4, 2016
per Helen Elizabeth's Instagram page

Craig Strickland was found today. We can finally rest knowing that he is at Home in Heaven with his Father. The night of the accident he had fought his way out of the water and up a hill before the stages of hypothermia set in. He experienced no pain in his final moments and simply felt like he was falling asleep. They found him lying in the shape of a cross looking up to his Father. Thank you to every single person who prayed for him and our family during this time. There was not a more peaceful way for him to go into the arms of our Lord, and I know your prayers had a role in making that happen. I know he saw Jesus at that moment when he laid down and walked arm in arm with Him into a better Everlasting Life. I love you with all my heart Craig Michael.

The money being raised will now be used to help with celebration of life expenses as well as much needed life transition for Helen as she adjusts moving forward without Craig.  We appriecate your continued support and prayers.

Please be sure when you comment or donate you leave a note about where you are from and how this story has impacted you. We are just blown away by the distance Craig's story has reached. Thank you
