Helping w/ Remington Medical Bills

My grandson, Remington, has fought for his little nine-month-old life with spinal bacterial meningitis over the Christmas holidays in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.  He has won that battle but not without losing his most of his hearing and being diagnosed with complement component 2 deficiency.  It is a disorder that causes the immune system to malfunction, resulting in a form of immunodeficiency.   Immunodeficiencies are conditions in which the immune system is not able to protect the body effectively form foreign invaders such as bacteria and viruses.  People with complement component 2 deficiency have a significantly increased risk of recurrent bacterial infections, specifically pneumonia, meningitis and in the blood which all may be life-threatening.  He will have to travel to Houston or Cincinnati to see a specialist to determent the exact strain of complement component 2 deficiency before a life long treatment plan can be created.  He will also have to see a specialist for his hearing loss and begin a treatment plan.

The Baker’s medical expenses are (and have already) skyrocketed and they could use your support in covering these expenses.  We also need your continued prayers for Remington, it is only because of your past prayers that he is still with us and continued prayers to get the right treatment.  God Bless each of you for your prayers and support.
