Prayers for Prophet

Prophet is a 21-year-old spotted racking horse. He has spent the majority of his life helping children with disabilities. Now, he needs our help. Donate here to assist with the costs of Prophet's veterinary care.

Update 3.6.22 - Prophet is improving, thanks be to God.  Last week, Prophet became seriously ill.  The first several days were touch and go, and we are incredibly grateful to the team of veterinarians who provided Prophet with the best of care and assisted our volunteer staff through this daunting process.  Over the weekend, Prophet showed gradual signs of improvement. The doctors felt he was stable enough for his treatments to be reduced and to attempt drinking and eating on his own.  We are thankful for this step in the right direction and ask that everyone continue to lift this sweet horse up in your prayers. 


Kudos to our excellent volunteer nursing staff (human and equine)!  Prophet's neighbor, Miracle, was a great comfort to him and watched over him carefully.

Prophet got to go outside the barn and eat a little grass for the first time.  The doc approves! 

Update 3.11.22 - Continue to pray for this sweet boy!  We are in a holding pattern right now as some of his levels continue to be concerning.  Pray that these will resolve and that our wonderful veterinarians will be given wisdom.  On a positive note, he is eating better and seems to like the special food he is on right now.

Update 3.31.22 - Prophet suffered a colic episode Monday and was transported to a specialist this week.  The doctors are continuing to look for the cause of his illness so that they can better understand how to treat him.  We are hopeful that this most recent round of testing will finally yield some answers.
