Prayers for Pace

Hello everyone! Josh and I have been friends since our families first met when we were three years old. We didn't truely get as close as family until we both transferred to Otterbein in the winter of 2010. Since then, we have literally been inseperable. We took the same courseload in college together, and have been blessed to teach in a classroom next to each other for going on four years now.

If you know Josh, he is entirely selfless. Whether it is picking up pizza on the way to your house, or setting aside his weekend to help you move, he always puts those he loves before himself.

Since his diagnosis, this has not changed. He is more concerned how those around him are doing, and doesn't want anyone feeling sorry for him or worrying about how he is doing. He didn't want this gofundme to even happen, but it's happening anyway. Because Josh and his fiance Kaleigh are planning a wedding for August of 2018, and now he has treatment to cover also, they are going to need the help financially.

I wasn't sure what dollar amount to set as our goal for this. Some of you may better understand just how expensive this process is, but I just placed an initial starting amount, and will change it if need be.

Josh will be receiving bi-weekly treatments for six months, totalling twelve total stints of Chemotherapy. He is recieving all of his treatments at the James Cancer Hospital, right here in Columbus. Your donations will go directly to Josh and Kaleigh to cover their out-of-pocket costs for his teatments, which means that they will still be able to have their dream wedding next summer.

Sam Thompson has already done amazing things in support of Josh in setting up a team for the Light the Night event on October 27th, which supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. All funds raised from this event go directly to the Society, and in turn, fund grants that are given to patients.

Between that grant and this project, I hope that we can relieve some of the financial burden that has unexpectedly been placed on Josh and his immediate family. Every little bit helps.

Thank you, and God bless,

Jon
