Funeral Expense Fund for Nayari

Donation protected
Our precious niece, Nayari Lenora Abel, was born January 2, 2018 at just 29 weeks gestation, weighing only 1.2lbs. She was in the NICU at Northside Forsyth Hospital for 3 months and 17 days. There, she was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension/chronic lung disease. This is common in preemies due to the lungs not being fully developed. Despite this diagnosis and many more obstacles she had to overcome, Nayari is such a strong little fighter, doctors thought she was doing well enough to be released in early April.

After being home for only a couple of days while under the watchful eye of her incredible parents and 2 big sisters, her oxygen level significantly dropped. She had to be rushed by ambulance to Scottish Rite on April 16. She was immediately put on life support, and doctors there were concerned as to why Northside ever released her in the first place. She was sent home on much too little oxygen, and thankfully her mama knew something was off and sat up all night with her and saw when her oxygen level plummeted.

After being at Scottish Rite for almost 2 months, she was again released to go home on June 5. However, once again, her parents knew something just was not right. She was having severe coughing episodes, and could not catch her breath. After FOUR ambulance trips that week back to Scottish Rite, she was finally transferred to CHOA Egleston on June 13. Doctors there discovered and diagnosed her with a rare heart condition, called pulmonary ventricular stenosis. It is a lifelong condition, and will require multiple heart surgeries throughout the course of this sweet angel’s life.

She had her first heart surgery 2 weeks ago on June 20, and was doing incredibly well. However, this past Monday, she underwent another surgery to have a g tube placed in her stomach since she cannot eat by mouth. The surgery was too much for her little body, and on Wednesday, she went into respiratory failure. She has been placed back on life support, and is at this very moment fighting for her life.

Yet again, Nayari is showing such strength that only God can be providing her. Despite everything her tiny body has been through, she continues to fight. She has been on 100% life support, but is slowly being weaned off as she is trying so hard to breathe on her own. Time and time again, this little warrior princess shows what a fighter she is. From the beginning, doctors have been amazed by her strength and resiliency. She is absolutely nothing short of a MIRACLE.

She has an amazing family, her parents are truly two of the strongest people I know. They have remained positive, hopeful, and haven’t left her side. This has obviously taken a huge toll on them - physically, emotionally, and financially. They are both having to spend extended amounts of time out of work - and they also have two other daughters, ages 11 and 17, at home.

ANY donation that is given will be used towards medical bills and necessary expenses needed due to having such an extended stay in the hospital. I know that they will greatly appreciate any donation, and they will appreciate your constant prayers for Nayari even more.

Please continue to keep this precious baby and her family in your thoughts and prayers. We are believing that God will heal her body, and remove her suffering. This page will be used to post updates on her condition, as well.
