Prayers for Momma Lisa aka Nanny

As most may already know, our mom, better known as nanny aka Lisa Shaw, has been diagnosed with cancer. More recently we have found that she has stage 4 - brain, skull, bone, lung and pelvic. A nightmare has become reality, one of which we all wish we can just wake up from.
With many tests being done and treatments starting at FoxChase in Philly, one can only imagine the financial stress it can have on a person. She would never even think of asking for help, that is just the type of person she is....so I am.
Insurance can only do so much....her and her husband Chris... both with hospital and hotel stays, tolls, missing so many days of work already (and so many more to come), to possibly not being able to work at all and all her medications, and not to mention our every day bills, payments, expenses, etc. Its hard now and its only going to get worse. Although donations will not make this monster go away, it will help at least relieve some of the financial stress that comes a long with it...and believe me, i know times are hard for everyone and it may not be possible for some to donate, i still ask that you please say a prayer for our mommy, our life, our hero!
Our mom is nothing short of amazing. Any and everyone who has ever had the privilege to be in her presence knows what a kind and caring person she is. A beautiful personality and smile that can brighten even the darkest of days. Her kindness and joy, her determination and personality, her positivity and strength... just the person she is as a whole. This world would be such a better place if we had more of her. She inspires and encourages so many... goes above and beyond for anyone, whether it be family, friends, her students or someone she just met. I can guarantee that even when nobody else is left there in your corner...she still will be. Her beautiful smile is contagious and her laugh will just make your entire day. Many of the students she works with will say that she is their "mom" or that she is their "mom away from home".
There are no words that could describe who she is or the type of person she is....if you know or have ever met her then you already know and she has most likely already had an amazing impact on you. Lets help get her through this, lets be apart of her strength that she has so many times been for us......
